A scary sign for your Friday the 13th.

Gas prices in Kenora has jumped significantly in the past 24 hours.

Most service stations are selling a liter of regular unleaded for 1.35.9 cents.

Dan McTeague, the senior petroleum analyst for gasbuddy.com, doesn't expect the price hike is over yet.

He tells us in early April companies are required,by law to switch from winter to summer gasoline which increases prices by about four cents a litre.

McTeague predicts gas prices in the city will range between a $1.25 and a  $1.36 a litre from now until the early fall.

Kenora gas prices are now above the provincial average, which is 1.29.8 cents a liter.
