The Nishnawbe Aski Nation is using strong condemnation after a Thunder Bay consultant was found guilty of defrauding more than a million dollars from the National Child Benefit Reinvestment program.

Chief Alvin Fiddler says "I am disgusted that Kaskechewan was robbed by someone entrusted by the federal government to support the daily management of their community."

He hopes the harshest sentence is laid against Joe Crupi, who will be sentenced in January for the fraud, and misappropriating almost 700-thousand dollars for personal use.

NAN will be addressing this next month at its assembly.
