Kenora MP Bob Nault says it's truly a monumental moment for the residents of Neskantaga First Nation.
Nault is applauding a federal decision to spend 8.8-million dollars to help upgrade the communities water treatment plant.
Nault says the boil water advisory in the First Nation is the longest standing one in Canada.
He notes for 22-years, Neskantaga residents have had to boil the water they bathe in and the water they drink.
Nault adds this project, which is expected to be completed by next Spring, will finally alleviate this stress.
