The president of the Registered Nurses Association Of Ontario has wrapped up a whirlwind two day tour of the north with a stop in Kenora on Friday.
Carol Timmings was in Kenora on Friday and met the Seven Generations Institute about their plans to develop an RN training program.
Timmings says this is an area they are lobbying the province to do more of.
"We talked about making sure the goverment provides consistant, stable funding for nursing education in the north. And nursing education that really is somewhat unique to the needs in the north."
Timmings says they are taking the information gathered from their tour this week to present it to all three political parties at Queen's Park.
